Mr. Berlowe was born in Miami, Florida, in 1970. He obtained his engineering degree from North Carolina State University in 1992, and received his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1998. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator. He has practiced law in Miami, Florida since his admission to the Bar. Prior to his co-founding Assouline & Berlowe, P.A., Mr. Berlowe was an associate with the law firm of Shutts & Bowen LLP in the Business Litigation Practice Group. In 1999, Mr. Berlowe joined the international law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP in its Litigation Department.
 
Mr. Berlowe opened his own practice in 2002 and was the Managing Shareholder of The Berlowe Law Firm. In February of 2003, Mr. Berlowe was joined by Eric N. Assouline and the two formed Assouline & Berlowe, P.A.

Mr. Berlowe currently handles a wide array of complex commercial disputes and products liability matters. The Miami Herald has quoted Mr. Berlowe regarding the construction and liability issues related to hurricane resistant construction in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. Mr. Berlowe has litigated construction disputes on behalf of major financial institutions regarding the construction of their world and regional headquarters facilities -- litigation involving tens of millions of dollars in delay claims, change order disputes, defective construction claims, design defect claims, and fraudulent billing claims.

Mr. Berlowe was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Section, and he is a past Chair of its Professionalism Committee and past Vice Chair of its Law Week Committee. He was formerly the Co-Chair of the DCBA-YLS Schools Committee, and in the past he has been a member of the DCBA’s Construction Law and Civil Practice committees. Throughout his career, Mr. Berlowe has remained active in community affairs.
